This blog chronicles the miracles and struggles of our daughters, Emily and Olivia. Emily was born 15 weeks early and had many complications, but she continues to amaze us! Olivia, born in China with heart complications, is also beating the odds. She joined her forever family (us!) when she was four years old and has been doing wonderfully! UPDATE: We started homeschooling August 2009 :)

Pictures, pictures, pictures!

Andy recently bought a new little digital camera so he could keep one in his pocket. The good and bad is that now we have even more pictures! This month is only half over, but between the two cameras we have over 800 photos in our June folder! So, sorting through them to see what to scrapbook &/or blog is no quick or easy task! This morning while the girls were at Vacation Bible School I made a little headway and I've posted a few of our recent photos and collages.

-Emily showing Olivia where her kindergarten class might be (yes, after much deliberation, she is starting all-day kindergarten this fall!)

-Yesterday's Beacon News story of our church's Operation

Helping Hands outreach with Olivia's picture right on page three

-the annual picnic at Blackberry Farm with other Families with Children from China (FCC Chicago) where we finally met up with a blog friend--another Olivia M!--who is younger, but taller!)

-our day of community volunteering with our church's Operation Helping Hands

-Andy took the day off yesterday for his birthday and we celebrated by going to Morton Arboretum
