This blog chronicles the miracles and struggles of our daughters, Emily and Olivia. Emily was born 15 weeks early and had many complications, but she continues to amaze us! Olivia, born in China with heart complications, is also beating the odds. She joined her forever family (us!) when she was four years old and has been doing wonderfully! UPDATE: We started homeschooling August 2009 :)

Spring

Between sick kids off and on and off and on again... and spring break, I haven't done much blogging lately. In the last post Olivia had recovered from pneumonia, but Emily was sick... with Strep throat. They've both been sick again with fevers and coughs. Olivia has recovered enough to be back at preschool today now that spring break is over, but I kept Emily home since she had a fever yesterday. Hopefully they'll both be in school tomorrow. Emily has missed more school this year to illness than she ever has. Fortunately her illnesses have been fairly mild, just too frequent.
We didn't travel for spring break but Andy took three days off so we could do some local stuff. When the kids weren't sick we went to a children's museum and on a day trip to Lake Carroll. On one of the days Olivia was sick, he and Emily went golfing and then went to an indoor water park. The weather has finally started to show promise of spring and I'm more than ready to say farewell to winter.
I'm also behind on scrapbooking, so I this afternoon I put together some quick and simple pages to post here. I'm expecting Olivia's bus any minute so I've got to wrap this up. Just wanted to check in let you know we didn't fall off the face of the earth :)

Hi,

I can't believe Olivia's hair! It's getting so long. Emily's hair seems to be growing too. They look beautiful in their Easter dresses.

Much love,

Caroline
